UWA student Jodie Palmer is a ninja with a Frisbee. Whilst completing her master’s in exercise science, Jodie also finds time to launch an aerial assault on the Ultimate Frisbee field, an increasingly popular sport at UWA.

Ultimate Frisbee shares parts from all different kinds of sports, including rugby, NFL and netball.

S even players per side pass a flying disc until it is caught in the ‘end zone’ for a goal.

In June, Jodie will head to London to compete for Australia in The Ultimate World Championships, her first opportunity at the top level.

“I'm most excited about getting to play against the best athletes in the whole world and the best Ultimate players. No age restrictions just the best of the best,” she said.

“It's super athletic and really entertaining because it's a small sport we're like a big family and we all look out for each other.”
