This year for the first time, students with a predicted ATAR of 92 or higher will be able to apply for an early offer to the Engineering Direct Pathway prior to taking their final exams.

Furthermore, those who achieve an ATAR of 96 or higher in their WACE exams will also be eligible for the $5000 Engineering Pursuit Scholarship upon enrolment.

Providing this opportunity of an early offer will better support high performing students while attracting further students to the discipline.

Students can apply for an early offer by submitting a letter from their school confirming they have a predicted ATAR of 92 or higher and are enrolled in the subject prerequisites. They must also list UWA as their first preference when applying through TISC. However, should they not achieve the English language requirement following their final exams, they will also be required to complete the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).

Once they have received their early offer, students can accept immediately or up until 18 December.

Following acceptance students will be sent further information relevant to them, including invitations to special events, until enrolment in January 2017.

When the final exam results are released, students will also be able to change their offer to a different course provided they meet the requirements of that Direct Pathway.

Applications for early offers will be accepted from 4 July to 18 October with plans to review the results of the project after enrolment in 2017.

Further information on UWA’s Direct Pathways is available online and specific queries relating to the early offer project should be directed to Grady Venville, Dean of Coursework Studies .
