UWA graduate and professional staff member Chloe Czerwiec has won the prestigious F A Sharr Award from the Australian Library & Information Association.

The F A Sharr Award is presented to a Western Australian librarian or library technician within their first three years following graduation, who exhibits the most potential to make a significant contribution to the library profession in WA. The Award is maintained by the ALIAWest Group, with the generous support of the WA Library Technicians Group.

Chloe graduated from the University of Western Australian in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in European Studies. Equipped with a love of research, writing and problem solving, Chloe dabbled in various roles in Perth and Sydney before realising that being a Librarian allowed her to research, write and problem solve as a career. Chloe then completed her postgraduate studies in Information Management and Library Studies at Curtin University in 2014.

Chloe is the Copyright and Innovation Librarian at UWA. In her copyright role, Chloe provides copyright support to the UWA community, particularly around the use of information resources provided by the University Library. Her Innovation Librarian role is at the Centre for Education Futures , where Chloe provides support to UWA staff to enable education innovation and futures thinking, in Carpe Diem workshops and through her involvement in the new fully-digital Transforming Teaching for Learning unit.
