Tuesday May 17 is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). IDAHOBIT day aims to coordinate international events that raise awareness of LGBT rights violations and stimulate interest and engagement in LGBT rights work worldwide.

UWA was among the first Australian universities to develop and implement initiatives to ensure that the campus was a welcoming, safe and inclusive place for staff, students and visitors irrespective of their sexual orientation or gender identity and we will mark this important date in the LGBT calendar with a small event.

Please join us and Executive Sponsor, LGBTI Inclusion Professor Kent Anderson (DVC Community and Engagement) for a drink and light refreshments in the Prescott Room, 5-6pm on 17 May.  All are welcome.

If you are interested please RSVP to Rebecca Martin by Monday 16 May.
