UWA’s New Century Campaign launched in October 2013 with the aim to raise $400 million over four years to support the University’s work in perpetuity.

Recently a generous donation to engineering research from alumnus and former CEO and Chairman of Wesfarmers, Dr Trevor Eastwood AM and his wife Judy, took  the campaign total to $300 million.

So far over 10,000 people have contributed to the campaign with the donations being used to  support the University in many meaningful ways, including:

  • $56 million for scholarships
  • $66 million for research projects
  • $47 million for postdoctoral positions
  • $35 million for academic chairs

Behind these figures are incredible stories of human impact.

Through our donor thank you booklet, In Recognition 2015 our students and researchers share how their lives have changed with the support they’ve received through the campaign.

Our donors, including Dr and Mrs Eastwood, also share the stories of what it means to be part of the UWA community and why they are proud to support our work.

This investment in our University will benefit our students, researchers and community as we build upon our world-class learning experience while taking our research a further step toward solving global challenges.
