University Hall (UniHall) residents had the exclusive opportunity to meet His Honour Judge Denis Reynolds at the Hall’s Leadership Program event on Tuesday 27 April.

Leadership, passion and commitment were some of the key qualities Judge Reynolds shared about his career and how he has personally developed into an influential leader as President of the Children's Court of Western Australia and as a former Western Australian of the year.

"Being able to listen to someone like Judge Reynolds was a fantastic experience. He's done so much good work and I know everyone found it inspiring to hear him talk about his experiences," says UniHall Leadership resident Cameron Gale.

As a country kid from Harvey, Cameron is excited to be part of the Leadership Program where he is learning from the stories of speakers, such as Judge Reynolds, for his own personal growth. He hopes to use these skills to eventually coordinate an event of his own for the UniHall community.

“The UniHall Leadership Program residents left the event equipped with a real sense of understanding of the attributes of leadership and how important it is to be well prepared, balanced and fully focused on the job in hand as well as the need for credibility,” says UniHall Acting Deputy Principal Stuart Ede.

It was a privilege to host an event for residents to hear from Judge Reynolds who is a man of great integrity and passion for giving the young children of Western Australia a fair chance.
