The UWA Master of Clinical Audiology program is offering free hearing tests to adults from Thursday 24 March to Friday 1 April 2016. The students will be closely supervised by a fully qualified audiologist who will also be available for any additional questions after each test. Should any abnormalities be identified, the assessment will be followed up appropriately with any necessary referrals, and a list of accredited audiologists if required. The students will take a brief history and then perform:

  • Otoscopy (where the student looks in the ear with an ear light)
  • Tympanometry (to check that the middle ear is healthy), and
  • Pure-tone audiometry (to check for hearing levels in each ear)

Students will also provide a  verbal explanation of the results and appropriate recommendations for further action. The test results will be given to you, and no information will be retained by the student. Testing will take place on the UWA Crawley campus at Myers Street Building, Room 2.03, Level 2.

For further information, or to arrange an appointment, please call Debbie Hull or Kirsty Herbert on 6488 3313.
