The UWA Recreation and Fitness Centre will be undergoing refurbishment in February, with more than $600k in new equipment, flooring, Wi-Fi and many more added extras for students, members, staff, alumni and the general public.

The refurbished Centre will include the latest, state-of-the-art cardio equipment and spin bikes, new lock-and-load and free weight equipment and more squat racks and lifting platforms in the heavy weights room.

During the refit the Fitness Centre will remain open with only small areas/room closures while the new equipment and flooring is installed. This will allow gym users to continue with their workout or training program on equipment in other areas of the facility. All group fitness classes and programs will be as scheduled, however some will be relocated – check with reception on arrival.
