Mission Australia and Lifeline have said thank you to UWA staff for their generous contributions made to the charities’ Christmas appeals.

Mission Australia WA State Director Amanda Hunt thanked UWA for contributing so many gifts for the guests attending the 40th Mission Australia Christmas Lunch in the Park.

“You have proven once again to be a community of warm hearted people who have committed to making Christmas one to remember for those who may be isolated, lonely or doing it tough during the festive season,” Ms Hunt said.

Chief Executive Officer of Lifeline WA, Fiona Kalaf, said Lifeline WA appreciated The University of Western Australia’s fantastic support through the 2015 Lights for Lifeline campaign.

“The generous donations by the University and staff will go a long way to educating more volunteers for our 13 11 14 telephone crisis support service,” Ms Kalaf said.

The Lights for Lifeline campaign will continue into January and just a reminder, let your friends know, for every $50 donated via the website , individuals have the chance to win a Mazda2 Neo Sedan!
