The State Government’s Department of Parks and Wildlife has informed the University that following the passage of recent legislation, Parks and Wildlife staff have the ability to issue infringements to vehicles that are parked unlawfully.

The department will be closely monitoring car parking across Matilda Bay Reserve and will be issuing infringements when vehicles are parked unlawfully or where a valid parking ticket is not displayed in the vehicle.

The Matilda Bay Reserve covers the area between Hackett Drive and the Swan River. The reserve extends from Mounts Bay Road in the north to the windsurfing ramp in the south. If you park in this area, please ensure you are parked lawfully and have a valid parking ticket correctly displayed to avoid an infringement.

We encourage all staff and students to adhere to the parking laws and encourage the use of alternate modes of transport to and from campus.
