For the first time, the Electrical Energy Society of Australia (ESSA) staged an undergraduate project poster competition. Final Year Project students whose project was related to Electrical Energy were encouraged to participate in the competition.
Three prizes of $500, $300 and $200 plus a certificate of participation were presented. Additionally, a one year free membership to EESA was given to all participants. Kerry Williams of Wester Power presented the prizes.
Eight students participated from universities across Western Australia. Two UWA EECE students participated in the event: David O’Brien and Sonia Miranda.
David O’Brien received first prize for his poster on the Investigation of Lithium Ion Phosphate Battery Technology and Performance in WA .
EECE would like to extend congratulations to all winners and participants.
