UWA has received a rating of ‘well above world standard’ – the highest possible score – for its research in Business and Management.

The rating, delivered by the Australian Research Council’s Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) results, cements the score of ‘well above world standard’ that UWA received for Business and Management in the previous ERA round in 2012.

Dean of the UWA Business School, Professor Phil Dolan, said the results recognised the School’s strengths in research.

“The Business School’s research expertise extends across a number of areas, including organisational behaviour and leadership,” Professor Dolan said.

“Our research findings are consistently being put into practice in industry and the wider community, and we’re very proud of the ways in which we are making a positive difference to society.”

ERA ratings are determined by a range of metrics such as citation profiles and peer review of a sample of research.

In other disciplines, UWA received a score of ‘above world standard’ for ‘Accounting, Auditing and Accountability’ and ‘world standard’ for areas including ‘Applied Economics,’ ‘Banking, Finance and Investment’ and ‘Marketing.’
