Dear colleagues,

As part of our ongoing efforts to pursue innovation and embrace more modern digital ways of working, the printed desk calendar will be replaced by a digital version in 2016.

I understand that many of you enjoyed receiving the desk calendar, but I am confident that its replacement digital calendar will have many improvements you will soon appreciate.

One of the biggest problems with the printed calendar was that it was out-of-date as soon as it was printed. The digital version will be continuously updated with important University dates and will integrate with Outlook on your desktop or laptop, as well as iOS and Android mobiles. This means everyone will have the latest information on dates and events at their fingertips, which should make planning a bit easier.

The new calendar will also cost less to produce than the old calendar and will be more environmentally friendly too.

Like any new technology or system, we understand that you will need simple to use instructions to help make it part of your working day. Keep an eye out for instructions in the New Year, such as how to download and install your new calendar. If you have any questions about this initiative please contact us at [email protected] .

Sincerely,

Kent Anderson
