The University of Western Australia’s reputation as a global leader in higher education has been further reinforced with the publication this week of the QS World University Rankings 2015/2016 .

QS ranked UWA in the top 100 world universities for the ninth year running, with the University earning an overall ranking of 98 this year. This is a slight decrease of nine places from 2014, following the recent changes to QS’ methodology. UWA’s regional ranking remains unchanged from last year, coming in at 7th.

QS currently considers over 3,000 institutions and ranks more than 800. Six performance indicators are used: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, research citations per paper, proportion of international faculty and proportion of international students.

Rankings like QS help establish UWA as a leading University locally, nationally and internationally. This recognition gives the University a real advantage in an increasingly competitive higher education sector.
