The functional realignment for Strategy, Planning and Performance project and subsequent formal organisational change process has been completed and implementation has commenced.

The project involved significant stakeholder engagement to develop a new operating model and service catalogue to deliver a centralised Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) function, integrating strategic plans, planning processes, initiatives and performance requirements to support the University in the achievement of its Strategic Plan and to enhance the University’s overall performance and reputation

A new Office of Strategy, Planning and Performance has been created in the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor’s portfolio. The new Office incorporates the following Units:

  • Strategy and Planning
  • Performance Analytics
  • Risk and Legal

Planning Services, including the Institutional Research Unit (IRU), has been disestablished and the relevant services will be delivered by the Performance Analytics and Strategy and Planning Units.

The overarching aim of this project is to provide:

    • An integrated strategy and planning process, coordinated across the whole University
    • A new focus on performance analytics and insightful analysis
    • An increased strategic focus in Legal and Risk Management services
    • Increased productivity, efficiency and focus in service delivery

The project delivers a significant increase in the range of services without an increase in overall budget expenditure.

An overview is available to view online. For further information on any specific change, please contact the Project Lead or Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
