A project to replace the current travel requisitioning and approval system (Trobexis) is currently underway. Following a staff survey that gathered feedback on the current system and future needs, a new travel platform (Concur) has been selected for the University.

This new platform will include an Online Booking Tool (OBT), enabling live fare gathering, viewing and selection in line with the expectations of today’s traveller for online travel booking.

The implementation of the Concur platform and recommended workflows will reduce the administrative burden for all UWA travellers and has the potential to achieve significant direct and indirect (efficiency) savings. UWA will also lead the GO8 in the successful incorporation of international bookings, including comprehensive travel risk management into an Online Booking Tool workflow.

The successful adoption of this system for all travel bookings is critical, both to realise the full savings potential and to ensure single repository for accurate travel information, allowing the University to locate staff and provide assistance in an emergency, thus fulfilling our duty of care.

The Concur platform is due to take over from Trobexis in early second quarter 2016 .

The Project Brief is available under the Chief Operating Office section on the Sustainable Futures website.
