As part of UWA Pride Week 2015, following on from the success of Out in the Workplace , a 2014 Careers Week event –  Equity and Diversity, the Careers Centre, UWA Alumni and Guild Queer Department are collaborating to bring together another LGBTI+ panel.

LGBTI+  students often feel that that they need to hide their sexuality when they leave university and enter the workforce.

To give students an insight into what the workplace may be like for LGBT+ young people starting their careers, our panellists representing a variety of sexual orientations and gender identities will be talking about their experiences in the workplace.

The presentation will also include a  Q&A session facilitated by Guild President, Lizzy O’Shea.   Panellist, Dylan Van Der Walt , Human Resource Advisor for Out for Australia, will also provide a brief overview of LGBT+ mentoring in industry.

Interested staff are invited to attend at:

Time:              6.00 pm
Date:               Tuesday 15 September
Venue:           Tattersall Lecture Theatre
RSVP:            by 10 September: [email protected]
