Exciting news for Cecily, with the return of glowing examiner reports, and only some very minor revisions requested.  She had three highly regarded examiners including an internationally renowned social capital guru, whom she impressed with her  “excellent familiarity with and understanding of the relevant literature”

Other examiners noted:

"This research is remarkable not only in originality of findings but in the depth and breadth of the heretical foundations that underpin it."

"Such important empirical findings have the potential to persuade local, regional and national policy makers and service providers...."

"I look forward to seeing more publications from Ms Strange in the future."

Cecily’s thesis was entitled  "Enabling families with young children to build social capital, and feel connected and supported within communities: community groups in newer residential areas" and her proud supervisors were Lisa Wood and Colleen Fisher, both from SPH, and Professor Peter Howat from Curtin University.

We wish Cecily all the best with what bodes well for a stellar postdoctoral career
