The University branch of Save the Children Australia will hold its annual book sale in the undercroft of Winthrop Hall, below the clock tower, from 5:00pm Friday 14 August to Wednesday 19 August.

Now in its 51st year, the book sale is well established as an event in the university calendar. Thousands of donated books covering almost all subject areas will be available, as well as sheet music, recorded music and DVDs.

Proceeds from the sale contribute to the efforts of Save the Children in working for the Rights of the Child, as upheld by the United Nations. Save the Children programs in Western Australia and overseas are supported by the annual book sale.

The branch is helped by 50 volunteers who work throughout the year to prepare for the book sale while around 130 volunteers help at the annual sale, including UWA students from the student branch of SCA, Uni Camp for Kids, UWA staff and families and other casual volunteers.
