Campus Management is pleased to confirm the critical maintenance to the University’s power supply was successfully completed last weekend.

The urgent maintenance works commenced on Friday 24 July, when the campus was divided into 16 zones each powered by its own generator.

The maintenance work was carried out safely and in accordance with the Project Delivery Methodology by Campus Management, Western Power, and electrical contractors.

By the evening of Saturday 25 July 2015, the entire campus switched back to mains power, and all University operations returned to normal.

This significant project was managed by Campus Management with the Project Team consisting of staff members from within Campus Management, Risk and BI&TS.

The extensive and critical planning undertaken during the preparation stage ensured that the operations of the University could be managed in the event of a significant power disruption while the maintenance was carried out.

On behalf of the Project Team, appreciation and acknowledgement is extended to all staff that assisted in the planning for these urgent, non-deferrable works.
