Please be aware that Saw Promenade will be temporarily closed on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 May between 7 am – 10.30 am. This is due to the pruning of the Moreton Bay fig tree that will take place throughout the day.
Pedestrians will be redirected along an alternate route and no other impact is expected.
The work will involve pruning of dead wood and the weight reduction of the end weight of branches to improve the integrity and longevity of the tree. The program of maintenance also covers soil samples and foliage samples to assess the nutrient needs of the fig.
