The Consultative Committee was established under the Fund’s Trust Deed and comprises of representatives from UniSuper Limited’s 37 shareholder universities. The function of the Consultative Committee is to advise and to make recommendations to the Trustee as well as to give its consent in relation to any matter under the Deed.

The Consultative Committee employee representatives is comprised of two UWA representatives, one is nominated by Academic staff and the other by Professional and General staff. The Academic staff employee representative role has become available and as required under the UniSuper Trust Deed, we are seeking nomination for one Academic staff representative.

To be eligible to nominate you must be a current member of the UniSuper Defined Benefit Division, the Accumulation 1 Plan or the Accumulation 2 Plan. The term for appointment is 4 years and the Committee meets once a year.

The role of the Consultative Committee representative is:
•    to share views with a selection of colleagues within the university
•    to liaise with other employee representatives
•    to interact with the Consultative Committee elective Board directors
•    to communicate with members and fund when required

NOMINATION PROCESS

Your nomination, accompanied by your UniSuper membership number, a brief summary detailing the reasons for nomination, knowledge of superannuation and any other related information should be forwarded by email to the Returning Officer, Celine Gaudin at [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 15 May 2015.

If the number of nominations equals the number of available places then the nominee will be automatically elected to the Committee. If nominations exceed the number of places, a ballot will be required.
