A project to install emergency exit lighting in the Administration Building will commence on Friday 1 May, continuing until Monday 4 May.

This is an important project to improve the safety of the Administration Building in the event of an evacuation or power outage.

What is involved?

Scaffolding will be installed within the foyer of the Administration Building from approximately 1pm on Friday 1 May . This will enable the foyer’s artwork to be removed and securely stored by Art Gallery staff.

The majority of the electrical works will be carried out on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.

On Monday 4 May, the artwork will be re-hung by Art Gallery staff and the scaffolding will be dismantled. The works are anticipated to be completed by 12 noon.

Are there any impacts?

· Scaffolding will be in place within the foyer of the Administration Building and while access is not restricted, we would recommend you use the alternate northern entry door.

· Power will not be disrupted while works are undertaken.

· There may be some noise associated with the works occurring on Saturday and Sunday.
