Dear Colleagues

All UWA staff are invited to the 2nd forum on the establishment of the Australian Consensus Centre at UWA to be held on Wednesday 29 April from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Murdoch Lecture Theatre (capacity 240 people)  located in the Arts Faculty building.

Once again, the Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Johnson will take questions.  The event is being held so soon because around 50 people were turned away at the first forum on Friday due to the  EY Lecture Theatre (150 persons capacity) being full and emails to the Academic Staff Association indicate the issue remains one they would like an opportunity to have their say sooner than later.  The VC is unavailable in the latter half of the week due to commitments  with the "In The Zone" Conference.  Given that holding a forum on the Centre without the VC is a bit “Hamlet without the prince of Denmark” type of thing, I settled on Wednesday.

The Q&A format will be the same.

On behalf of the UWA Academic Staff Association which is hosting this forum, I thank the Vice Chancellor for readily agreeing to participate in this second forum.

Cordially

Ray
