Campus Management will be installing new tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) around campus over the coming months.

They will be fitted at the top and bottom of staircases and ramps to help indicate an upcoming change in surface level, and are an important safety feature on campus.

The first building to be fitted with TGSIs is the Music building (142) on Sunday 3 May. The building will be having TGSIs fitted at three staircases. No impact is expected and at least one staircase will remain open throughout the works at all times.

Other buildings will be notified when their staircases and ramps are due to be fitted with TGSIs.
