Recycling rates are expected to significantly improve on campus with the introduction of a new cleaning and waste contract.
Spotless commences a three-year contract on Monday 2 February and will work closely with the University to meet the waste-reduction targets set in its Sustainable Development Plan .

Steps to improve waste levels will include:

  • Installing recycling bins in every office on campus
  • Delivering a recycling and waste educational campaign
  • Generating detailed monthly reports of recycling and waste levels
