Congratulations to Karen Martin on being awarded a Fay Gale Fellowship for 2015.
We would like to congratulate Assistant Professor Karen Martin on being awarded a Fay Gale Fellowship for next year. The focus of her Fellowship will be on youth mental health, specifically strategies intervening on mechanisms that underpin poor mental health and unhealthy behaviours where, in an Australian context, there are very few interventions compared to nations that lead this field.
Evidence is developing internationally for the saliency of restorative practice for improved health and social outcomes for disadvantaged youth. Karen will be pursuing this emerging high priority research area through her Fellowship, benefiting the broader public health community and particularly the vulnerable population of disadvantaged youth.
