Indigenous high school students will have the chance to film celebrities, Indigenous leaders and corporate executives at the UWA Business School's Indigenous Business, Enterprise and Corporations Conference (IBECC).

The students, all of whom are taking part in high school outreach programs run by the School of Indigenous Studies at The University of Western Australia, will spend two days participating in a digital storytelling workshop run by Culture Tech.

The workshop participants will then be able to film celebrity chef Mark Olive, Chairman of the Prime Minister's Indigenous Advisory Council Nyunggai Warren Mundine, and other speakers at IBECC.

Workshop facilitator Josh Hughes, from Culture Tech, said the students would gain valuable storytelling skills.

"We're engaging students through education and technology to create meaningful pathways to higher education, business and community leadership. The students will capture their story, their experience and share it with the world," Hughes said.

The students taking part come from schools including Broome Senior High School, Presbyterian Ladies' College and Scotch College.

The Indigenous Business, Enterprise and Corporations Conference will take place at the UWA Business School on 1-2 December and feature over 100 speakers.
