Across Australia, ‘micro' businesses are being taken up by new Indigenous entrepreneurs in a big way.

The entrepreneurs who manage these small companies have one thing in common: the dynamism and reflexivity to adapt to changing market conditions.

Darren ‘Capes' Capewell is well known in the world heritage area of Shark Bay and Ningaloo. Visitors the world over come to listen to his exciting brand of Aboriginal cultural tourism. Make no mistake: this is a micro business with a captivated international audience.

Mihau Kamienek works with Aboriginal culture to bring tourists closer to the rhythm and feel of Australian landscapes and cultures through his travel bureau and digital mobile application. This work is mapping songlines and stories for generations to come.

David Williams and Amanda Lear are the Indigenous ideas people, with their creative ‘think tank' agency being sought after by not-for-profits, government and large corporations throughout Australia. David and Amanda are changing mindsets through Indigenous insights.

All of these Indigenous business owners are speaking at the Indigenous Business, Enterprise and Corporations Conference taking place at UWA from the 1-2 December 2014.

Interviews with speakers can be arranged.
