COFS PhD student Xiaojun Li has been invited to attend the Global Young Scientist Summit (GYSS@one-north), being held in Singapore in January 2015.

GYSS@one-north brings together young scientists and researchers from around the globe and gives them the opportunity to meet with internationally recognised researchers in a range of science fields including engineering, physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Xiaojun is excited to attend the summit and is particularly looking forward to working with other participants to discuss how their research is addressing major global concerns.  Xiaojun says, "The most exciting thing for me is to meet with 15 top scientists from different disciplines. It gives me an opportunity to have a glance of the world outside my profession.  I am also looking forward to exchanging ideas and brainstorming with other young, brilliant researchers on the panel discussion. I would like to thank Lloyd's Register Foundation and the GYSS@one-north organisers for their generous support and for facilitating my participation in this event".

Details of the summit can be found on the GYSS@one-north website.
