An engineering and science graduate from The University of Western Australia who works for Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic has given a public lecture at the University Club (September 8) about the program he's leading to build the world's first commercial spaceship.
Enrico Palermo, Vice President of Operations for The Spaceship Company (part of Virgin Galactic), talked about his journey from Perth to the Mojave Desert in the US, via UWA and the International Space University.
Earlier on Monday Enrico spoke with ABC radio's Geoff Hutchison about his amazing job building a spaceship for Virgin Galactic which will take passengers to outer space.

Monday's lecture was part of The Warren Centre's Beyond Earth: Innovation Lecture Series 2014, with the aim of highlighting the significant role that Australia and Australians play in global space industries.
