Joining newly-engaged Associate Professor Fernando Jerez is a second new appointment in Architecture, Assistant Professor Kirill de Lancastre Jedenov.
Kirill de Lancastre Jedenov studied Architecture at the Universidade Lusiada de Lisboa. In his final year he studied under Manuel Aires Mateus and participated in a student exchange with the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD).
He worked in the office of Joao Luis Carrilho da Graca where he participated in many national and international design competitions. ln 2004 Kirill won first prize in a competition for the construction of five single family houses which led to the creation of the office Kaputt! Between 2004 and 2010 their trans-disciplinary work won a number of awards in large international competitions, was the subject of an exhibition at the Ordem dos Arquitectos and was published in books and journals in Portugal, Spain, Holland, Hungary, Sweden, China and on numerous international websites.
In 2011 he founded Jedenov Architecture as a Lisbon-based international practice to provide masterplanning, architecture and interior design services to both the public and private sectors. And in 2012 he was Visiting Professor at the Institute of Design, Universitat lnnsbruck, Austria.
Prior to his appointment at UWA Professor de Lancastre Jedenov was a lecturer at Universidade Lusofona de Lisboa.
