The UWA Business School has marked the University's centenary with the creation of a suite of Alumni Awards and Dean's Awards.

During 2013, Alumni Awards were presented to graduates who have excelled in their chosen fields, including business, education, government, and the not-for-profit sector.

Recipients of alumni awards in 2013 include: Chairman, Western Australia at Macquarie Group and Chairman, Global Resources Group at Macquarie Capital, Dr Mark Barnaba; Indonesian Vice-President Professor Dr Boediono; UWA Chancellor and Chairman of NAB and Woodside, Dr Michael Chaney AO; Wesfarmers Managing Director, Dr Richard Goyder AO; President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia, Emeritus Professor Tracey Horton; and Resource Capital Funds Managing Partner, James McClements.

Dean's Awards were also presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the UWA Business School.

Recipients included current and former external members of the UWA Business School Board: Seven Group Holding's Managing Director and CEO Don Voelte; and BHP Billiton Iron Ore President, Adjunct Professor Jimmy Wilson.

Current and former faculty members were also recognised with Dean's Awards, with recipients including former Deputy Dean of the UWA Business School, Winthrop Professor Izan; Emeritus Professor Philip Brown; and Winthrop Professor David Plowman.

In addition, longstanding Business School supporters and philanthropists Stan and Jean Perron and Dr Trevor Eastwood were presented with Dean's Awards.
