The second annual ‘Sock it in Style’ gala dinner was held at the University Club at The University of Western Australia on the 9 November 2013. The invited guest speakers were inaugural Abbie Basson scholarship recipient and Centre for Genetic Origins of Health and Disease PhD student Rachel Jones, Winthrop Professor David Wood, and Hockeyroos player Kobie McGurk. The evening was a celebration of the achievements of Sock it to Sarcoma through 2013. A new video, promoting community awareness of sarcoma was premiered at the dinner, featuring 3 sarcoma survivors talking about their experience with sarcoma.
