Secondary students who are keen to develop their keyboard, string, wind, brass or composition skills under the expert guidance of University staff are encouraged to enrol for the UWA School of Music's Summer School.

The Summer School will be held in the first week of December, and is aimed at students in Years 10 to 12, although younger students may be considered based on their individual skills.

Along with traditional instrument-specific tuition, the range of activities include daily masterclasses, participation in ensembles, improvisation and composition sessions, musicianship activities, and guided performance.

Varying levels and abilities will be catered for, including students performing at tertiary entrance level. The final decision as to the suitability of each student will be made by the Summer School staff, based on the information provided in the enrolment form .
