The Martin Fahey Visiting Fellowship has been established by COFS to honour the contribution made by Professor Martin Fahey in the establishment and success of the UWA Geotechnical Testing Laboratory, the Geomechanics Group and COFS.

Fellowships are awarded to enable researchers with a strong or developing profile, who are capable of making a significant contribution to the research effort of the University, to undertake a period of collaborative research, specifically in the geomechanics field, with a UWA host.

Fellowships will provide a return economy airfare for the successful recipient (including dependants if required) and a living allowance of AU$1000 per week to cover living and accommodation expenses.  Consideration may be given to pay a partial or full salary if this is not funded by the applicant's host institution.

The collaboration research visit is expected to be betweeen 12 - 26 weeks, although the value of a shorter visit will be assessed against the comparable benefits of a longer stay.

Please send your application, including research proposal and resume, to Monica Mackman ([email protected]) by the 30th August 2013.

If you would like further information then please contact Monica or visit www.cofs.uwa.edu.au/research/martin-fahey-visiting-fellowship .
