The Faculty of Arts has introduced two exciting new Bachelor of Arts majors for 2014 - Gender Studies and Korean Studies.

Gender Studies traces the history of gender and its intersections with race, class and sexuality and how social power works. It is highly relevant to contemporary life while producing valuable social debate investigating the ethics of equity, diversity and social justice.

The Korean Studies major equips students with both language and intercultural competence, which is particularly relevant with the rapid economic development of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and its position as the third biggest trading partner for Western Australia.

Students can choose to undertake Gender Studies or Korean Studies as a degree-specific major as part of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) degree, or as a second major in conjunction with most degree-specific majors from any of our undergraduate degree courses.
