COFS Associate Professor Shazzad Hossain recently received a 2012 Young Investigator Award.

The 2012 Young Investigator Award is designded to recognize outstading research achievements by Early Career Researchers and aims to promote and encourage emerging young investigatros who are establishing independant research careers.

Shazzad joined COFS as a Research Associate in 2008, after completing his PhD at UWA.  He was promoted to Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate Professor in 2010 and 2012 respectively.

Five UWA Young Investigator Awards were handed out this year, with each award recipient receiving $2000 each.
