Economists and business leaders will examine the future of Australia's productivity and global competitiveness at an upcoming forum at The University of Western Australia.

The Productivity Seminar, hosted by the Graduate Management Association and held in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will feature: John Rothwell AO, Chairman and Founding Director, Austal Limited; Ken Payne, Partner and Managing Director, The Boston Consulting Group; Ryan Buckland, Economist, Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Angie Spiteri, Owner, Time Equals Money.

In the context of Australia's low productivity growth, the peaking of the resources boom, and softening terms of trade, the panellists will discuss pertinent issues in Australia's productivity growth.

The panel will also examine the implications of productivity levels on the wider economy, including on the manufacturing industry.

The Productivity Seminar is part of the Graduate Management Association's 2020 Business Insights series.

The Graduate Management Association is an organisation for students and alumni of postgraduate courses at the UWA Business School.

The Seminar will be held at The University Club of Western Australia on Thursday, 21 February from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Tickets are available from www.trybooking.com/CIMH for $58 (GMA/CCI members) or $88 (standard). For further information, contact Teck Lim on 0422 436 388.
