An upcoming forum convened by the UWA Business School's Graduate Management Association (GMA), in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, will feature Dr Michael Chaney AO, Margaret Sears AO and Michael Smith discussing board leadership, culture and performance.

The latest in the GMA's 2020 Business Insights series, "Habits of High Performing Boards" aims to inspire anyone involved in, or aspiring to be involved in, either a corporate or not-for-profit board.

Discussions will focus on topics including the challenges of board leadership in uncertain times; the composition of boards and issues around increasing the numbers of women and other underrepresented demographics on boards; and measuring and improving board performance.

Dr Michael Chaney AO , Chairman of NAB, Woodside and Gresham Partners, UWA Chancellor, and GMA Patron, will speak on board leadership.

Margaret Sears AO , Chair of the Perth International Arts Festival will speak on board culture.

Michael Smith , Principal of Black House and State President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, will discuss board performance.

"Habits of High Performing Boards" will be held on Thursday, 22 November at 6:00pm at The University Club of Western Australia. Tickets cost $58 for GMA members and $88 for non-GMA members.
