A renewed sponsorship agreement between global accountants Ernst & Young and The University of Western Australia's Business School will give UWA students more opportunities to meet senior company executives, access exclusive graduate recruitment opportunities and learn from senior Ernst & Young practitioners through guest lectures and case studies.

Ernst & Young will continue as a Major Corporate Partner of the UWA Business School under a new five-year agreement.

The Dean of the UWA Business School , Winthrop Professor Phil Dolan, said students would benefit greatly from Ernst & Young's continued support.

"Our collaboration provides UWA Business School students with valuable exposure to industry perspectives, case studies and recruitment opportunities, resulting in a richer business education," he said.

‘We value Ernst & Young's generous support since its original 2008 sponsorship and look forward to continuing to build on this collaboration to create new learning opportunities for UWA Business School students."

Ernst & Young Perth Managing Partner Michael Anghie said the company was pleased to continue its relationship with the UWA Business School.

"We look forward to continuing to work closely with the School to offer its students unique learning experiences that help broaden their horizons and prepare them for the transition to work," Mr Anghie said.

Ernst & Young currently contributes to career and professional development opportunities for UWA Business School students by offering internships, meeting students at information sessions and expos, and hosting student boardroom lunches and an annual recruitment breakfast for MBA students.  The company was recently involved with a study tour of Germany by MBA students from the UWA Business School.

Company partners also deliver in-class guest lectures to provide students with valuable industry insights.

The sponsorship agreement was renewed at an official signing ceremony attended today by Ernst & Young and UWA executives at the UWA Business School.
