Rare insights into the demolition of the iconic Perth Entertainment Centre and intriguing ideas behind the design of new Perth Arena will be revealed in an exhibition at the Australian Urban Design Research Centre - affiliated with The University of Western Australia - during November.

As Perth Arena prepares for a gala opening by rock superstar Sir Elton John on November 10 - In My Beginning is My End offers a first public glimpse of secrets in the new arena's design while exploring the memory of its predecessor, which for 28 years gave many Perth audiences their first shows, stars and highlights of their lives.

The exhibition includes photographs, video, animation, drawings and sculptural constructions that combine UWA Associate Professor Jon Tarry - a renowned WA artist - with Australia's most inventive and controversial architects ARM Architecture, with joint venture partners Cameron Chisholm & Nicol.
