On the weekend  of February 8-10 2013 The University of Western Australia  will be a hive of activity. As a part of the University’s cente- nary year, alumni  from  all around the world are invited to UWA to re- connect and participate  a range of events.

The  Faculty   of  Education   is   hosting a  series  of  short  talks  on  Saturday 9
February at the Fox Lecture Theatre. From 10.30am The Education Minister Hon. Peter Collier will talk about the past and the future of education  in Western Australia.

Two talks will showcase new developments in teaching. Speakers include Christine Howitt and Grace Oakley who will   discuss the use of mobile technologies in education. Robert Faulkner will illustrate why singing really matters for young people’s development and learning.
