Melbourne business leader and philanthropist Carol Schwartz will deliver the keynote presentation at next week's Graduate Management Association Dinner at The University Club of Western Australia.

The Graduate Management Association (GMA) represents alumni and current students of MBA and other postgraduate courses at the UWA Business School.

Those attending the dinner on Saturday August 18 will include UWA Chancellor and GMA Patron Dr Michael Chaney AO, Business School Board Chair Dr Mark Barnaba and Dean of the Business School, Winthrop Professor Phil Dolan.

Ms Schwartz - founding chair of Our Community, which was Australia's first major private company established to enhance the social good - will discuss innovation and social enterprise.

One of her greatest passions is gender equity in the corporate sector.  She founded the Women's Leadership Institute Australia and Chief Executive Women, a networking group and forum for women leaders.

Aside from not-for-profit work, Ms Schwartz and her husband Alan co-own Qualitas, a property investment bank.  Ms Schwartz is a director of property group Stockland and will take over as president of the National Gallery of Victoria later this year.
