UWA Publishing books,
Lines for Birds

Justice

Government House
have been shortlisted for the 2011 Western Australian Premier's Book Awards.
Lines for Birds: Poems and Paintings
by Barry Hill and John Wolseley, which is shortlisted for the Poetry Award, was also previously shortlisted for the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards.
Justice: A history of the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia
, by Fiona Skyring, and
Government House and Western Australian Society 1829-2010
, by Jeremy Martens, are both shortlisted for the WA History Award.
This is the second time that
Justice
and
Government House
have been shortlisted for the same award: in June,
Justice
won the Margaret Medcalf Award for use of State archives, and
Government House
was awarded a special commendation.
Minister for Culture and the Arts, John Day, said a record number of 596 entries were submitted this year, compared to 571 for the 2010 Awards.
The winners will be announced on September 20.
