Eight Indigenous students were awarded Pallottine Scholarships at the Pallottine Centre on Sunday March 25.
It is the 11th year these scholarships have been awarded and cover HECS payments for one semester in 2012. Father Ray Hevern and Father Sanz from the Pallottine Centre awarded the scholarships to Angela Crombie, Vinka Cummins-Barunga, Kelsi Forrest, Bianca Howard, Micah Kickett, Grace Plichta, Annika Rogers-Angeles and Laura Vincent. All the recipents for this year are studying either Arts/Law or Medicine, so the scholarship is of great assistance for these students, when their HECS fees are higher than for many other degrees.
Five students from other universities and Central TAFE were also granted scholarships.
