One of Australia's most original and internationally recognised composers, Mary Finsterer, will present the Australian premiere of her composition Red, Green, Blue at The University of Western Australia School of Music's Callaway Auditorium.

In a unique co-commission, Mary Finsterer has re-scored her piece to reflect the unique elements of Western Australia's Juniper Chamber Orchestra with the woodwind ensemble De Ereprijs (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

"Red, Green, Blue makes use of the idea of exploring colour and scope within a specific orchestration through thematic development, gesture and articulation, allowing for groups of instruments to either merge together or refract - to create a more unexpected result," Ms Finsterer said.

Leading the astounding array of musicians in the Juniper Chamber Orchestra will be Perth's own Menuhin School, Guildhall and Juilliard-trained virtuoso violinist Paul Wright.
