Winthrop Professor Robyn Owens officially launched CMCA@Bayliss this week, highlighting the improved access to mass spectrometry, nuclear magentic resonance spectrometry and single-crystal X-ray diffraction facilities for all UWA staff and students.

The facilities and staff were transferred to CMCA management in July this year and a transition process has aligned operations with existing CMCA facilities.

Professor Owens commended the facilities to the group present and highlighted the provision of world-class infrastructure as an important factor in pursuing the University's goal to be within the top 50 universities by 2050.

The new arrangements should see increased use of these world-class facilities, as well as wider opportunities for continued investment in cutting-edge capabilities in these areas.
