The Faculty of Education through the Master of Teaching courses is developing a number of sustainable, authentic and quality partnerships with schools across Western Australia.

Our students undertake ongoing professional placements in schools and as part of their course are encouraged to participate in the school events that are integral to the school and teaching experience. Special events, mentoring programs and artistic programs are particularly valued by our teacher education students and the schools.

Associate Professor Robert Faulkner and students from the Faculty of Education worked for three weeks with students and staff at Palmyra Primary School in a creative partnership.

The Our Country Art Exhibition was the celebration of the partnership and opened in the new arts complex on June 27 2011 for the enjoyment of the entire Palmyra community.

Palmyra Arts Director, Bernadette Knight, was very pleased with the workshops that the students undertook in the first year of this creative partnership. The workshops were part of the Artistic and Expressive Child unit in the Master of Teaching ( Early Childhood and Primary ).
