A new exhibition of acrylic paintings will be on display at The University Club from Tuesday 8 November 2011.
An Artist's Journey showcases the works of Sydney-born artist and sculptor, Shamynka Rokylle.
Shamynka's debut exhibition features eclectic works that depict an artist's journey in self-discovery.
Pieces range from small-scale paintings that express single moments of pure joy or fantasy, to large-scale works that explore the fractals of natural patterns.
Her works are hallmarked by the hexagon, a symbol representing a ‘building block' of life.
The artist has been inspired by her travels, particularly the peace and tranquillity of Bhutan and the colours of Mongolia.
"Everywhere in Mongolia is art," says Shamynka.
